Growing Into Our Roots
If you’ve spent any time on our site recently, you may have noticed a few changes. The layout is simpler. The colors are quieter. The words are more deliberate. This wasn’t a redesign for the sake of being new—it was a redesign to feel more like us.
Gathering Moss has always been rooted in the belief that strong growth starts below the surface. That idea applies just as much to who we are as it does to how plants grow. Over time, as our family, our collection, and our offerings have grown, we realized our site no longer reflected the values that guide our work every day.
So we slowed down.
We stripped things back. We paid attention to what actually mattered. We asked ourselves what felt true, what felt lasting, and what felt unnecessary. The result isn’t louder or flashier—it’s more grounded. More intentional. More honest.
This redesign reflects our Roots First. Always. philosophy in a broader sense. It’s about choosing substance over polish, patience over speed, and meaning over trend. It’s about creating a space that feels steady and welcoming, not rushed or overstated.
We’re a family-run, home-based nursery, and this site is an extension of that. It’s shaped by learning as we go, by hands-on experience, and by a deep respect for growth that happens over time. Like plants, things don’t need to be perfect to be healthy—but they do need strong foundations.
We hope the new space feels calm, clear, and intentional. More importantly, we hope it feels like a place where our values come through as clearly as our products.
